National Police Federation ~ Ottawa

Timeless recognition -Corporate   Working with the National Police Federation we created an office layout to suit the organization’s roles and functions, a space they would be proud to share with their members. The design is a representation of the NPF’s character and its role in representing RCMP members across Canada. The design incorporates architectural details paying tribute to the RCMP’s history with a respectful and professional aesthetic. The project team took a fresh approach to create a sophisticated interpretation of the RCMP’s primary colour palette. Integrating deep reds and burgundy in lieu of the iconic bright red and the use of beige/taupe and warm wood tones help create a warm and welcoming environment.

Distinguishing Features: The open reception area welcomes members and guests and can also be used as a collaborative lounge. Linear black and yellow acoustic ceiling baffles divide the floor east to west (representing RCMP members across Canada) and the yellow stripe design symbolizes the formal uniform trousers. Ceiling details and wall applications include angled patterns and chevron shapes as a nod to RCMP officer insignia ranks. The large boardroom is divided by a folding movable partition to create a multifunctional space for smaller and larger meetings and can serve as a large event space. An open kitchen acts as a gathering point for staff with unique light fixtures, a large communal island and the repeated yellow stipe ceiling felt baffles.
