CIMA+

Engineering Excellence - Corporate  A Canadian firm with presence nationwide, CIMA+ is a leader in sustainable and responsible engineering. 4te worked with the spirit of CIMA’s core values and created a unique interior for the Ottawa office design. Working with the mechanical and electrical teams, the project is an expression of effective solutions and thoughtful design to reflect CIMA’s clear and inspiring commitment to excellence. The new office offers a variety of spaces to complement the line of consulting engineering services they provide to their clients. The project’s greatest success is the multidisciplinary approach and collaboration working with CIMA+ as a business partner and a client.

Distinguishing Features:  Shades of green are used throughout to compliment the company’s corporate branding. Design elements and architectural features are implemented with a combination of angles and soft curves, creating visual interest with contrast and movement. Solutions included integrated Audio-Visual solutions (built-in display) and custom millwork solutions. Linear ceiling details, lighting patterns and flooring connect the main circulation path and act as wayfinding throughout the office space and connect the general office to the Working Café and reception. The Working Café is an active hub with a variety of seating spaces, including a lounge area, games area and coffee bar. Open ceilings with exposed ductwork and geometric acoustic baffles emphasize the Café’s distinctive vibe, making it a welcoming destination for staff and guests.
